Duck Hunter's Best Friend..One of Them!
Chesapeake Bay Retriever are truly a duck hunters best friend. When it comes to water retrieving, there isn't a breed of dog above them. They stand above the crowd. They have a high energy level. Two president have had Chesapeake Bay Retriever. They were bred to hunt water fowl in the icy waters of the Chesapeake Bay. There coats are equipped to help them stay warm. They are brown, sage, or dead grass in color and tend to blend in with there surroundings when retrieving the fowl. They are sometimes mistaken for Labrador Retrievers. This is not a dog to have in the city, but a dog that should be in the country because they love to run and swim. Thanks Dogs 101 for another great video!
